Has Christmas come early this year???
So the first present we got was one of the presents you’ve already had 43 of, and you didn’t even like the first one, or the second one, never mind now you‘ve been given the 44th one, and unbelievably somehow the present has gotten even worse than before. I’m talking about another white heterosexual male president. I’m not even gonna say the T word in this blog, I’m just gonna try to make a really shit situation positive. I felt so upset, deflated and hopeless. But I’m turning this around. First things first, more people voted for Hillary, so that already makes the world feel brighter, although Hillary is awful, she’s better than you know who. Also if you look at who voted for ‘it’ then it’s all old people (and white men, but we can’t get rid of white people - or men - but old people we can) The future is bright. I’m so excited for when our generation is the oldest generation, to think that we will be the most bigoted people, I’m so ready. But for now we will stay positive and strong because our brothers and sisters worked too hard, way too hard for us to take any steps back in equality right now. ROSA PARKS DIDN’T SIT ON THAT BUS FOR NOTHING, the suffragettes, my sisters that fought at the Stonewall riots, and all those millions of minorities that have been proud of who they are and stood up for themselves and each other. The final present for now is…. My film! (Which premiered yesterday) Which Freya, Emma, Grace, Dimitar and I have created, acted, directed and edited, like literally everything. This was part of our course at uni and was an interesting process and I’m sure all 4 of them will agree:’) It was so much fun but so stressful and I learnt so much. But generally I feel like Christmas came earlier this year. I know you get those memes that come up every second about Halloween on Oct 31st and Christmas on Nov 1st but generally this year I swear it did? Farnham literally had all the lights up and a giant Christmas tree in the centre. I’m already planning my new post which should be here beginning-ish of next week. Kate Nash dropped a new song this week, which is just adorable and I love it. And I’ve finally got round to listening to Alicia Key’s new album ‘HERE’ which is just amazing, I love that girl. And today Little Mix just dropped their new album ‘Glory Days’ which I’m just listening to and its sounding very good!
